Updated SRG1767: Enhanced guidance for approval of flight conditions, Part 21 Permits to Fly
The UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has released a revised version of Form SRG1767 (issue 6). This includes additional guidance aimed at improving the application process for safety of design-related flight conditions.
This update is particularly relevant for applicants seeking a Part 21 temporary Permit to Fly when an aircraft’s Certificate of Airworthiness (C of A) or Restricted C of A is temporarily invalid, or when the aircraft cannot meet standard airworthiness requirements but remains capable of safe flight under defined conditions.
The enhanced guidance supports the completion of Form 18B (SRG1728B), which is used to document and approve flight conditions related to the safety of the aircraft’s design.
